5 chủ đề lớn trong đề thi IELTS Speaking Part 2 là: Describe a place, a person, an object, an activity, an event.
1. Topic: Tả người (Describe a person)
- Describe a famous person you are interested in
You should say:
- Who he/she is
- How you knew about him/her
- What he/she was like before he/she became famous
And explain why you are interested in him/her
- Describe a leader or politician who you admire
You should say:
- Who is he/ she?
- What is so appealing about him?
- What type of leader is he/ she
And explain why do you admire him /he
- Describe a person you have seen who is beautiful or handsome
You should say:
- Where you saw this person
- When you saw this person
- What the person looked like
And explain you think this person is beautiful or handsome
- Describe a person who solved a problem in a smart way
You should say:
- Who this person is
- What the problem was
- How he/she solved it
And explain why you think he/she did it in a smart way
- Describe a person who likes helping other people
You should say
- Who is this person?
- How often does this person help others?
- How does this person help others?
- Why does this person help others?
- How do you feel about this person?
- Describe a visitor in your home
You should say:
- Who was this visitor
- When did he/she visit your home
- Why did he/she come to visit
And explain whether you like him/her or not
2. Topic: Tả vật (Describe an object)
- Describe an electronic device you use often
You should say:
- How long you have had it
- How often you have used it
- What you have used it for
Explain why you use it so often
- Describe an important plant in your country (such as fruits, flowers, or vegetables)
You should say:
- What plant it is
- How you first learned about this plant
- Where it grows and explain
Why do you think it is important?
- Describe your favorite book
You should say:
- What is it
- When did you read it
- How long have you read it
And explain why you like it
- Describe a photo you have taken
You should say:
- What’s in it
- When it has taken
And explain why you like it so well
- Describe an important river/lake in your country
You should say:
- What is this river called
- How do you know about it
- How long/big it is
And explain why it is important
- Describe a good law in your country
You should say:
- What is the law
- How you came to know about this law
- Whom does it affect
- Why is it good
- Describe your favorite season
You should say:
- How is the weather like
- Why do you like this season
- What activities do you usually do during it
- How would different kinds of weather affect people
- Describe a TV program (TV Series) you have watched
You should say:
- What kind of TV program it was, e.g. comedy, romantic
- When you saw the TV program.
- What the TV program was about
- Describe A Song You Like
You should say:
- What kind of song it is
- How you found it
- What it is about
And explain why it is interesting to you
- Describe your favorite movie
You should say:
- When and where you saw it
- What type of film it was
- What the film was about
And explain why it is your favorite film.
- Describe a live sports match that you have watched
You should say:
- What it was
- When you watched it
- Why you watched it
And how you felt about it.
3. Tả sự kiện (Describe an event)
- Describe an important event in your life.
You should say

And explain why this was an important event in your life.
- Describe a time when you were really close to a wild animal.
You should say
- What it looked like

- What it likes to eat or do
- Why you like it
- Describe a time when you were late for something important.
You should say:

- Who managed the situation?
- Explain how you felt about it?
- Describe a meal that you enjoyed at a restaurant.
You should say:
- Where the restaurant was
- What food you ordered
- Who was/were with you
- Describe an experience that you visited a friend
You should say:
- Where it was
- When it was
Explain what you like about the experience
- Describe a good decision you made recently.
You should say:
- What it was
- When you made it
- What the result was
And explain how you felt about it
4. Tả địa điểm (Describe a place)
- Describe a school you went to in your childhood.

5. Tả hành động (Describe an activity)
- Describe something healthy you enjoy doing.
You should say:
- What you do
- Where you do it
- Who you do it with
And explain why you think doing this is healthy.
- Describe an activity you enjoy doing occasionally that is a bit expensive
- What is it?
- Who do you do it with?
- How is it expensive?
- What are your emotions about it?
